$12.50 to $13.50 an hour - Based upon experience
SUMMARY:
The duties include but are not limited to processing outgoing letter and product mail. The individual will also be responsible for delivering internal mail and performing ministry errands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily collect, sort, and distribute interoffice mail according to department and building
- Record and distribute package deliveries
- Compute and apply postage for outgoing mail
- Record postage used by other departments
- Fold letters, circulars, and inserts by hand or machine
- Operate insertions equipment
- Examine and prepare outgoing mail for appearance and seal envelopes by hand or machine
- Prepare outgoing parcel shipments
- Deliver mail to the post office
- Perform ministry errands
- Assist in media duplication
- Scan and record packing slips
- Work overtime when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Must have a valid Class C Texas Driver’s License, and a clean driving record
- Ability to step up into cab of a box truck
- Ability to drive a box truck
- Postal knowledge is helpful
- Hand-eye coordination
- Computer knowledge is helpful
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
EXPERIENCE:
One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to co-workers

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands or arms. Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to sit
- Must regularly lift up to 70 pounds using a pallet jack move skid of items weighing up to 2,500 pounds.
- Regularly required to move APC’s (All Purpose Containers) filled with product packages weighing up to 750 pounds, and load on and off mail truck and docks.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
