Alpha Christian Children's Home and School is accepting resumes and applications for a Learning Center Student Supervisor (a teaching position). Our K-12 Learning Center currently educates up to 16 children being served by the children's home. The school utilizes Accelerated Christian Education's individual-based curriculum which provides opportunities for each child to have an education plan tailored to their specific abilities and needs. This allows them to experience success in school, sometimes for the first time.
Teaching candidates do not need to be licensed due to the fact that our students dual enroll with Accelerated Christian Education's accredited distance learning school. Upon hire, the teaching candidate is required to undergo training (provided) to become certified to administer the curriculum and run the learning center according to standards set by A.C.E.

Alpha is a domestic mission ministering to kids who need a fresh start to overcome the circumstances that led them here. 1. We tell the kids in our care about Jesus Christ. We want the kids to encounter the amazing love of the family of God, and experience the closest thing we can provide to His plan for a family. 3. We provide the kids in our care with a solid education that helps them overcome their past academic struggles, and achieve their dreams.
Unfortunately, many of our kids are a couple years behind in school when they arrive. They will stay here at least one year or longer, and in that time, we try to get them caught up and ready to succeed in their next educational location after leaving our home. Those that graduate from our school can take their diploma with them into college, the workforce, or the military.
For 50 years now, Alpha has been HOME for children who need a safe place to live. While the circumstances of each child may be different, their common needs are genuine love, compassion, character building and security. These needs are fulfilled with a loving, faith-building family, a quality education designed just for them, and a secure environment where they can grow, build friendships and experience life as it should be experienced.
